Admissions:
Day Classes 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (Monday- Friday)

All applicants for admission to the nursing program must complete the application. Admission to the program may be limited based on the availability of faculty and clinical learning sites.

All applicants will pay a non-refundable Pre-entrance Examination fee for the current enrollment year. RGV Careers An Institute for Higher Learning requires a minimum standard of academic performance on this examination.

All applicants will be considered for acceptance into the program on the basis of the following:

No action will be taken on any application that is not complete and/or submitted after the deadline. All applicants must be a U.S. High School graduate or have completed the GED. Individuals who completed High School outside the United States are responsible for providing the school, an English translation of the High School transcript and certification that this is equivalent to a U.S. twelfth (12th) grade education.

The program Advisory Committee will review applications and select the students based on the above criteria. All students will be required to submit to a drug screen, criminal background check, and provide proof of current immunizations/immunity to certain communicable diseases. These immunizations include the three series of Hepatitis B.
